Air Ambulance flies crushed Bentwaters woman to hospital
A 39 year old woman has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a one-tonne pallet fell on top of her.
The incident happened outside Chase Resources in Bentwaters Business Park, Rendlesham, at about 10.30am today as it is believed the woman was helping to unload some pallets. Firefighters from Woodbridge and a rescue tender from Princes Street attended the scene and released the trapped woman from underneath the pallet.
An air ambulance was called and transported her to Ipswich hospital with pelvic and leg injuries. Ian Comer is a specialist industrial injuries lawyer with comercrawley, who sponsor the air ambulance service.
‘There is no news yet of the women’s injuries, but we must hope that they don’t prove too serious’, he says. ‘However, this is another example of the excellent work the air ambulance does and I’m sure their patient has a much better chance of recovery because of the speed with which she could be taken to hospital.
